Entry 14: "Semi-Homemade" Spicy Masala Bun by Visa Sriram

Ingredients:

Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuits (Grand) - 1 box/roll - 8 no.

Onions - 1 , very finely chopped

Green Chillies/Jalapenos - 4

Coriander Leaves - A handful

Ginger - 1 inch, grated

Lemon juice - to taste

Salt - to taste

Method:

Pre Heat oven to 350 degrees C. Keep a cookie sheet or a baking tray handy. If needed, line it with foil.

Chop onions, green chillies, corainder leaves and grate ginger. Mix them with salt and lemon juice. Keep aside.

Pop open the Biscuits.

Very carefully, make a caved in - hollow in the biscuit. Make sure the base of the biscuit is intact.

Fill some of the onion mixture in the hollow. The entire dent/hollow must be filled with this mixture.

Once all biscuits are filled, stick it in the oven for 15 to 20 mins. they can removed once the top of the biscuit turns golden brown.

This is a very quick and easy to make snack. Serves as a great appetizer too(you get mini biscuits too) and tastes best when eaten with a nice spicy pickle :)

A cup of tea, couple of these buns and a nice novel to read.....Heavenly!
